About The Position

At AERC, our overnight technicians aren’t just “holding down the fort”—they’re trusted, highly skilled technicians managing critical cases, making real-time decisions, and delivering exceptional care when it matters most. This role involves managing and monitoring ER and ICU patients overnight, performing advanced treatments, diagnostics, and critical care procedures. The ideal candidate will think critically, act confidently, and prioritize independently, partnering closely with overnight DVMs on complex cases. Maintaining accurate, detailed records in the EMR and keeping equipment, treatments, and workflow running smoothly are also key aspects of the position. This role offers real autonomy, a tight-knit crew, and the opportunity to engage in high-impact medicine with less chaos and more focus than daytime traffic.

Requirements

• Veterinary Technician with 1+ year of clinical experience
• Strong critical thinking and attention to detail
• Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced ER setting

Nice To Haves

• AVMA-accredited Veterinary Technology degree
• ER or Specialty experience
