Garden State Veterinary Services is excited to announce that we are hiring Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVTs) and Experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our busy specialty hospital! We are currently seeking team members for: Daytime and Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technicians, Specialty Veterinary Technicians in the following departments: Oncology and Neurology. We offer opportunities across a variety of shifts and departments to match your skills and career goals.

Requirements

  • CVT/LVT preferred, or minimum of 2 years of technician experience
  • Strong anesthesia monitoring skills
  • Experience processing laboratory samples
  • Working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and normal/abnormal ranges
  • Interest in mentoring and supporting assistants
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Commitment to teamwork and client service
  • Positive attitude, integrity, and a desire to learn
  • Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • All current positions require the ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional fluency in other languages is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and monitor anesthesia
  • Triage incoming patients
  • Set up CRIs and perform medical math calculations
  • Place IV catheters and manage fluid therapy
  • Maintain accurate treatment sheets and anesthesia records
  • Collect and prepare diagnostic samples
  • Monitor and assess patient pain levels
  • Advocate for hospitalized patients with compassionate care
  • Educate clients on at-home care instructions
