Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital is growing! We’re looking for an exceptional Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our skilled team. Requirements

  • Current Veterinary Technician licensure or relevant Veterinary Technician experience
  • Strong technical and patient-care skills
  • Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
  • A passion for veterinary medicine and high-quality patient care
  • Clear, compassionate communication with clients and teammates
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • A dependable, collaborative, team-first approach
  • Ability to safely lift and handle patients with assistance as needed
  • Commitment to continued learning and professional growth

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient nursing care
  • Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, and oral medications
  • Manage patient admissions and discharges
  • Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
  • Assist with surgical procedures
  • Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia
  • Perform radiology and dentistry procedures
  • Complete accurate drug calculations
  • Run in-house laboratory testing and prepare reference laboratory requisitions
  • Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
  • Dispense medications according to veterinarian orders
  • Perform technician appointments
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
  • Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
