Requirements

Previous veterinary experience preferred
Veterinary Technician certification is a plus
Strong understanding of veterinary terminology and patient care
Knowledge of animal restraint and safe handling techniques
Familiarity with diagnostics and veterinary critical care procedures
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Compassionate, positive attitude toward pets and their people
Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinical environment

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
Perform in-house Idexx laboratory testing and diagnostics
Take and process digital radiographs
Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery to ensure patient safety and comfort
Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records
Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and nutrition
Safely restrain patients during exams and procedures
Care for hospitalized patients and monitor their well-being
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital
