About The Position

Countryside Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The role supports veterinarians with clinical procedures and patient care, communicates with clients, and helps maintain a clean, safe, and well-stocked hospital environment. The position is based in Idaho Falls. The schedule is four 8–10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday, typically including two shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and two from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Salary is $16.00–$19.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience.

Requirements

• Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
• Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
• Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
• Handle and restrain animals safely and compassionately.
• Communicate with clients, including providing care instructions and patient status updates.
• Perform technical duties, including laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
• Maintain accurate medical records and assist with dispensing medications.
• Keep examination rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
• Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
