About The Position

The Pet Wellness Group is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The role supports veterinarians with examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery; performs technical procedures; and communicates with clients about care instructions and patient status. The schedule is 32–34 hours per week across a four-day work week with a scheduled day off, plus a required rotating every-other-Saturday shift. The listed salary is $16–$24 per hour, based on skills, experience, and qualifications. The position is based in a state-of-the-art veterinary facility featuring three exam rooms, a large treatment area, a separate surgical suite, and a cat-friendly wing. Equipment includes an in-house laboratory, digital dental radiographs, digital X-ray, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram monitors. Requirements

At least one year of veterinary experience.
Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
