Requirements

  • Experience as a veterinary assistant or technician
  • Confidence in patient handling and clinical skills
  • Strong technical ability (venipuncture, catheter placement, diagnostics)
  • Knowledge of preventive care, vaccines, and pharmacology
  • Excellent communication with clients and team
  • Ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast‑paced setting
  • Team‑first mindset and a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

  • Avimark experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Triage patients, take histories, and perform assessments
  • Support veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
  • Provide compassionate nursing care from intake to discharge
  • Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, and sample collection
  • Run in‑house diagnostics (CBC/Chem, UA, fecals, cytology, etc.)
  • Obtain high‑quality radiographs
  • Use low‑stress/Fear Free handling techniques
  • Educate clients clearly and compassionately
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support hospital workflow and uphold a positive culture
