About The Position

Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience. The schedule involves a four-day workweek with rotating weekends, and importantly, no nights, on-call shifts, or emergency hours. The hospital has been providing exceptional care for over 35 years and is AAHA-accredited, serving a variety of companion animals. Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills
  • Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced hospital
  • Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with ezyVet is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during appointments, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
  • Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, blood collection, and anesthesia support
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist throughout surgical and dental procedures
  • Collect and prepare laboratory samples for in-house and reference laboratory testing
  • Assist with radiographs and ultrasound procedures
  • Maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment
  • Prepare exam rooms and accurately document patient histories and medical records
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
  • Answer phones and provide exceptional client service when needed
  • Collaborate with teammates to deliver outstanding patient care
