About The Position

Community Animal Hospital of Royal Palm Beach is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position with a competitive salary based on experience. The schedule involves a four-day workweek with rotating weekends, and importantly, no nights, on-call shifts, or emergency hours. The hospital has been providing exceptional care for over 35 years and is AAHA-accredited, serving a variety of companion animals. Requirements

Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician
Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory diagnostics, and radiology
Excellent communication and client-service skills
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to thrive in a busy, fast-paced hospital
Positive attitude and willingness to jump in wherever needed

Nice To Haves

Experience with ezyVet is a plus, but we're happy to train the right candidate

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians during appointments, treatments, surgical procedures, and dentistry
Prepare patients for surgery, including catheter placement, blood collection, and anesthesia support
Monitor anesthesia and assist throughout surgical and dental procedures
Collect and prepare laboratory samples for in-house and reference laboratory testing
Assist with radiographs and ultrasound procedures
Maintain sterile surgical instruments and equipment
Prepare exam rooms and accurately document patient histories and medical records
Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions
Answer phones and provide exceptional client service when needed
Collaborate with teammates to deliver outstanding patient care
