Northlake Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital located in Lake Park, FL, serving North Palm Beach and surrounding areas. We are a fast-paced, growing, three-doctor veterinary practice seeking a Full-Time experienced Veterinary Technician with strong surgical experience to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated technician who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is passionate about patient care, efficiency, and team development.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on surgical experience (anesthesia monitoring, prep, recovery, instrumentation)
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Ability and willingness to help train and mentor current team members
- Strong communication and leadership skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a positive attitude
- Ability to lift patients and carry equipment up to 25 pounds; ability to lift patients or carry equipment over 25 pounds with assistance
- Practice OSHA safety techniques including proper PPE
- Basic computer skills, familiarity with MS office applications, etc.
- Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages
- Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety
Responsibilities
- Surgical anesthesia monitoring and patient care
- Assisting in surgery and dentistry
- Running technician appointments and supporting exam rooms
- Training and guiding support staff
- Maintaining high standards of patient safety and hospital efficiency
- Any other duties as assigned.
