About The Position

Acequia Animal Hospital, a beautiful full-service small animal veterinary practice, is currently seeking a motivated veterinary technician for part-time employment. We provide an ideal environment while providing Vet Techs the guidance and mentorship they need to grow. The ideal candidate must be skilled with IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, dental cleaning, blood draws, proper restraint techniques, proper use of all in-house laboratory equipment, and digital radiographs. We're looking for someone to fill a part-time role with us (about 20-28 hours per week). Days can be flexible, with a shift schedule roughly around 7:15AM-5:30PM, depending on business needs. Rotating short shift on Saturdays (about 2 per month) from 8AM-12PM. If this could fit into your availability, we would love to hear from you! Requirements

Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Knowledge of animal care and behavior
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
Proficient in computer skills and medical record-keeping software
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
