About The Position

South Cherokee Veterinary Hospital has been a trusted provider of compassionate, high-quality veterinary care in the Woodstock community for over 30 years. The hospital offers a full range of services supported by in-house diagnostics, allowing for efficient, thorough treatment, while its dedicated team prioritizes client education and personalized care to help pets live long, healthy lives. We are currently looking to hire a Veterinary Technician to join our team!

Requirements

1+ years of Technician Veterinary experience
Knowledge of equipment used
Drawing blood and running bloodwork
Knowledge of x-rays and proper positioning
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Understanding the importance of client education
Being a positive and motivating team member
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Understands the importance of excellent communication and organizational skills

Nice To Haves

Experience with proper handling of exotics - care/husbandry/sedation

Responsibilities

Rooming patients/ Outpatient appointments
Digital radiology including positioning.
Dentistry (digital x-rays, scaling, polishing)
Experience with proper handling of exotics - care/husbandry/sedation (Highly Preferred)
Teaching and training others
