New Tampa Animal Hospital is a two-doctor practice that has proudly served our community for more than 13 years. We are a traditional small animal practice with a full IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, cold laser therapy, high-speed dentistry, and advanced diagnostic capabilities that allow us to provide comprehensive patient care. Requirements

  • Veterinary Technician experience preferred
  • Strong technical and patient care skills
  • Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
  • Excellent communication and client education abilities

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
  • Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and weights
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for reference laboratories
  • Administer medications, vaccines, treatments, fluids, and blood products as directed
  • Monitor and maintain anesthesia under veterinarian supervision
  • Provide nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients
  • Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
  • Clean, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
  • Take and process high-quality radiographs while utilizing proper restraint techniques
  • Educate clients on preventative healthcare, medications, diets, and treatment plans
  • Perform client callbacks and follow-up communications
  • Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
