New Tampa Animal Hospital is a two-doctor practice that has proudly served our community for more than 13 years. We are a traditional small animal practice with a full IDEXX laboratory, digital radiography, cold laser therapy, high-speed dentistry, and advanced diagnostic capabilities that allow us to provide comprehensive patient care. Requirements
- Veterinary Technician experience preferred
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Knowledge of anesthesia monitoring and surgical support
- Excellent communication and client education abilities
- Compassionate and professional approach to patient care
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a busy environment

Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
- Obtain and record patient histories, vital signs, and weights
- Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare specimens for reference laboratories
- Administer medications, vaccines, treatments, fluids, and blood products as directed
- Monitor and maintain anesthesia under veterinarian supervision
- Provide nursing care for hospitalized and recovering patients
- Prepare patients, instruments, and equipment for surgery
- Clean, maintain, and sterilize surgical instruments and equipment
- Take and process high-quality radiographs while utilizing proper restraint techniques
- Educate clients on preventative healthcare, medications, diets, and treatment plans
- Perform client callbacks and follow-up communications
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
