Pfister Animal Hospital is a full-service animal care facility serving the West Chester community. In addition to comprehensive medical care, we offer grooming, boarding, wellness services, and canine rehabilitation tailored to each patient’s unique needs. Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (RVT/LVT/CVT) preferred, but experienced non-credentialed veterinary technicians are encouraged to apply
- Entry-level candidates with hands-on veterinary experience are welcome
- Confident in anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, and patient care, or eager to learn and grow
- Dependable, adaptable, and calm under pressure
- A strong communicator who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment
- Comfortable working 10-hour shifts with rotating Saturday morning shifts
- Positive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to jump in where needed
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to high-quality patient care and client service
- A reliable team player who contributes to a supportive and engaging work culture
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for veterinary care, including: Animal restraint, preparing vaccines, filling medications, assisting with exams, and taking radiographs
- Assisting with surgical procedures and dental cleanings
- Monitoring anesthesia and patient vitals during procedures
- Collecting and processing lab samples (blood, urine, fecal, etc.)
- Assisting with client communication and ensuring accurate medical records and charges
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient care throughout the facility
- Support inventory management and equipment maintenance
- Contribute to a positive work culture through dependability, flexibility, and teamwork
