About The Position

Torrington Animal Hospital is Hiring an Experienced Veterinary Technician! This is a full-time position with a negotiable salary based on experience and licensure. The schedule is Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 6 PM. Requirements

  • At least 1 year of veterinary technician experience, including anesthesia monitoring
  • Strong technical skills in surgery support, radiology, and patient care
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Compassionate, team-oriented, and positive attitude
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and contribute to team success

Responsibilities

  • Assist with surgery, including prep, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
  • Perform venipuncture and place IV catheters
  • Take and process radiographs, including dental radiography
  • Safely restrain and handle patients during exams and procedures
  • Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
  • Support veterinarians in delivering high-quality patient care
