Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Certification as a Veterinary Technician preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with patient care, including handling, restraint, and medication administration.
• Collect and record patient histories and vital signs.
• Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies for procedures.
• Monitor and document patient progress during and after treatment.
• Perform routine diagnostic procedures, including blood work, cytology, and radiology.
• Administer treatments, including chemotherapy, under veterinarians' guidance.
• Assist with specialized procedures such as ultrasound, biopsy, and CT scans.
• Monitor patients during anesthesia and post-anesthesia recovery.
• Provide support and education to pet owners facing a cancer diagnosis.
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
