About The Position
Creve Coeur Animal Hospital is searching for a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Assistant to join our exceptional team! We are a busy six-doctor AAHA-accredited practice proudly serving dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, and reptiles throughout the St. Louis community. Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant experience
- Veterinary technician certification/licensure highly valued
- Strong technical and patient care skills
- Excellent communication and client service abilities
- Confidence working independently and completing tasks efficiently
- Positive attitude and willingness to support the team wherever needed
- Dependability, professionalism, and initiative
- Ability to remain active and engaged throughout a busy clinical day
Nice To Haves
- Surgical experience is a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate nursing care and support for hospitalized patients
- Place IV catheters, draw blood, and administer injections
- Perform laboratory testing and obtain radiographs
- Safely and humanely restrain patients during exams and procedures
- Follow prescribed treatment plans and support patient recovery
- Assist veterinarians and teammates throughout appointments and procedures
- Maintain accurate medical records and treatment documentation
- Deliver exceptional patient care and client communication in a fast-paced environment
