About The Position
St. Charles Veterinary Clinic is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician / Veterinary Assistant for their daytime department. This AAHA-accredited facility is seeking a dependable, motivated individual who can work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role involves a variety of tasks including placing IV catheters, running diagnostics, administering medications, performing radiology, assisting with surgeries and appointments, patient handling, record keeping, and client education. Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience required
- Experience with venipuncture, wellness care, and surgical support
- Strong multitasking and organizational skills

Responsibilities
- Place IV catheters and perform venipuncture
- Run in-house and outside laboratory diagnostics
- Administer SQ, IM, and IV medications and fluid therapy as directed
- Perform radiology procedures and patient imaging support
- Assist doctors during outpatient appointments and treatments
- Safely handle and restrain patients while following hospital protocols
- Assist with surgical procedures, patient prep, and anesthesia monitoring
- Support patient care and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide client education and professional communication
- Assist with hospital cleanliness and facility support tasks as needed
- Collaborate with the veterinary team to maintain efficient workflow and exceptional patient care
