Veterinary Technician ($5,000 Sign On Bonus)
About The Position
Allendale Veterinary Hospital is seeking an experienced, passionate Veterinary Technician to join their expanding team. As a General Practice (GP) technician, you will play a central role in delivering seamless, empathetic care. Your responsibilities will include supporting wellness and sick visits, assisting with general surgeries and dental procedures, managing in-house lab diagnostics and radiology, and ensuring smooth in-house pharmacy and inventory operations. In addition to traditional vet tech duties, you will be actively involved in client education and communication, detailed electronic medical record (EMR) documentation, diagnostics, reviewing medical records and lab work, calculating doses for medications, participating in rounds with the doctor for application of clinical knowledge, and leading appointments (history, TPR, meds).
Requirements
- 1-2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- Surgical experience
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Good time management and efficiency with ability to prioritize
- Resourceful problem-solving skills with active recall
- A passion for and commitment to the welfare of animals
Nice To Haves
- Veterinary Technician License or Certification preferred but not required
