About The Position

Countryside Veterinary Hospital is hiring a full-time Certified Veterinary Technician to provide skilled patient care and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. The position follows four 8–10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday. The typical schedule includes two shifts from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM and two shifts from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM. The hourly salary is $16.00–$19.00, depending on skills and experience. Countryside Veterinary Hospital provides attentive, compassionate care for dogs and cats in a calm, welcoming environment. Requirements

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Nice To Haves

Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) certification is preferred.
Experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, exams, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely handle and restrain animals with compassion.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as lab work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
