Penny Paws Animal Clinic is hiring a Weekend Veterinary Technician for their vaccine clinic in Arlington, Texas. This part-time position is for an experienced, skilled, and motivated veterinary professional who enjoys preventive care, client interaction, and working in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. The clinic is committed to providing high-quality veterinary care and exceptional service. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, confident in their technical skills, and seeking a consistent Saturday and Sunday schedule.

Requirements

Previous Veterinary Technician experience
Confidence performing blood draws and other routine technical procedures
Knowledge of preventive care and vaccine protocols
Safe and compassionate patient handling and restraint skills
Strong communication and client-service skills
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment
Comfort working with animals of all sizes and temperaments
Compassionate, dependable, and team-oriented attitude
Strong attention to detail and accurate medical recordkeeping
A commitment to providing outstanding patient care and client service

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with veterinary practice-management software is a plus

Responsibilities

Perform blood draws and collect diagnostic samples for laboratory testing
Administer vaccines, medications, and treatments as directed
Safely handle and restrain patients of varying sizes and temperaments
Assist veterinarians with patient care during vaccine and wellness appointments
Obtain relevant patient histories and communicate information clearly to the veterinary team
Maintain complete and accurate medical records
Educate clients on preventive care recommendations and next steps
Prepare treatment areas and ensure equipment is clean, organized, and ready for patient care
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient work environment
Collaborate with doctors and teammates to maintain an efficient patient flow
Contribute to a positive, supportive, and team-centered hospital culture
