About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Technician Trainer to support our Manhattan market, providing hands-on clinical training and development across our Midtown and Downtown hospitals. This role requires an active Veterinary Technician certification from an AVMA accredited program. This pay band is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency assessment tool. Candidates with VTS credentialing are eligible for compensation commensurate with experience. As a Veterinary Technician Trainer with BluePearl, you can be part of a dynamic, energized network of hospitals committed to providing the highest standard of patient care. Collaborate with a team of Training Coordinators to develop innovative training programs while coaching associates at every career stage, from new hires to current and experienced associates. Align with the local teams and your line manager to build a flexible schedule that supports market training needs, including the potential for limited remote work. Support a variety of specialties and locations across the market. Impact the future of the profession by supporting veterinary technician students, veterinary students, interns, and residents. Lead the implementation of new, company-wide training programs. Elevate the level of patient care through education in the hospitals within the market. Maintain your clinical skills and build new ones by training side-by-side with your teams. Collaborate with local medical directors, practice managers, and nursing leaders to identify training needs, build training plans, and execute training events like hands-on skills wet labs, simulator training, and virtual or live didactic lecture-based CE. Support United In Care by designing and delivering CE for partner hospitals and the local referring community. Partner with the Divisional Nursing Partner, Director of Medical Quality, and local medical leadership to implement BluePearl’s medical quality guidelines and standards into hospital ways of working, training curriculums, and hospital culture. Drive your own development through robust internal CE and opportunities unique to training coordinators.

Requirements

  • Active Veterinary Technician certification from an AVMA accredited program.
  • Maintain RVT/LVT/CVT in accordance with state laws.
  • High School Diploma required
  • Possession of Vet Technician skill level III or greater required.
  • Demonstrated capacity to deliver effective training required.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience as a BluePearl Veterinary Technician (skill level IV or VTS) is preferred.
  • Previous supervisory capacity or background in education preferred.
