About The Position

VCA Mountain View Animal Hospital is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician Supervisor with surgical experience to join its well-established, AAHA-accredited practice in Phoenix, Arizona. The hospital describes its team as talented and compassionate and is seeking a team player who can also work independently, solve problems effectively, and maintain a professional attitude.

The position involves leadership and team management, client experience and communication, crisis and conflict management, training and development, operational oversight, quality assurance and continuous improvement, interdepartmental collaboration, and department financial oversight. The schedule is Monday through Thursday, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., in a four-day, 10-hour work week. The listed pay range is $24–$28 per hour.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of veterinary experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in a veterinary, medical, or other healthcare setting.
• Strong skills in veterinary medicine, conflict resolution, and team management.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Collaborative, team-focused mindset.
• Ability to work independently, solve problems, and maintain a professional attitude.
• Surgical experience.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in emergency, specialty, or high-volume veterinary practice is strongly preferred.
• Experience managing 24-hour operations, including overnight or swing-shift teams, is a plus.
