Animal ER of University Park located in Bradenton, FL is searching for a full-time Veterinary Technician Supervisor to join our team! This role plays a key leadership role within our hospital, balancing hands-on clinical work with team leadership responsibilities. You will partner closely with the Hospital Director to support hospital operations, elevate patient care standards, and cultivate a strong, engaged technical team. Requirements

  • Credentialed Veterinary Technician (LVT, CVT, or RVT) in good standing required
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in emergency, critical care, or specialty medicine
  • Strong technical skill set including anesthesia, diagnostics, and ICU patient care
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team, with the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required

Nice To Haves

  • At least 3 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Fluency in multiple languages is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support veterinary technicians and assistants within the ER, fostering a positive, engaged, and accountable team culture.
  • Train and develop staff through ongoing coaching, skill assessments, and structured learning opportunities.
  • Create and manage team schedules to ensure appropriate staffing levels while maintaining efficiency and controlling overtime.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to support overall operations, including case flow, quality of patient care, and the client experience.
  • Assist with performance management, employee relations, and team development initiatives.
  • Facilitate team meetings and continuing education opportunities to support growth and engagement.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and regulatory standards, including OSHA and DEA requirements.
  • Work alongside the team in a hands-on capacity, performing technical duties such as anesthesia monitoring, phlebotomy, catheter placement, radiographs, and advanced care for critical patients.
