About The Position

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA-accredited hospital in Washington D.C., is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic veterinary technicians to join our Emergency and ICU teams. This fast-paced role involves working closely with ER/ECC doctors, fellow technicians, and assistants to provide high-quality, emergent care. Ideal candidates are confident in triage, IV catheter placement, phlebotomy, history taking, and anesthesia monitoring, and are committed to teamwork, multitasking, and continuous skill development. The hospital is open to multiple skill levels and encourages those interested in emergency medicine to explore this opportunity to learn new skills. Requirements

• 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician required.
• Credentialed veterinary technician (LVT, CVT, RVT) preferred but not required.
• Recover certification a plus, but not required.
• Embrace a nurturing, cooperative, and ethical environment.
• Ability to share knowledge, uplift one another, grow, and do their best work.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, emergent care in a fast-paced environment.
• Work closely with ER/ECC doctors, fellow technicians, and assistants.
• Perform triage.
