About The Position
At VCA Brickell Animal Hospital, located in Miami Florida, we are currently hiring for a Full time, Credentialed Veterinary Technician Supervisor. We are a 4 doctor, full service hospital located in the heart of Miami, FL, offering a full-service veterinary medical facility committed to providing exceptional care for your pets. Our compassionate and professional team is dedicated to delivering the highest quality medical, surgical, dental, and preventative services to keep your pets healthy and happy. Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician- CVT, LVT, RVT, LVMT (FL CVT Preferred)
- 5+ years of clinical experience
- Team leadership experience
- Passion for Veterinary Medicine
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Responsibilities
- Directing work flow on the floor
- Cultivate an engaging work environment and maintain our strong hospital culture
- Work cohesively with hospital management and supervisory teams to aid in the progression of the hospital
- Help with the interview process for potential new hires and onboard all new associates
- Assists in the educational development of technicians and their skills
- Conduct staff meetings
- Provide opportunities for staff to gain more firsthand experience
- Mentoring technicians within the department
- Resolve conflicts in a professional and humble manner
- Refining and implementing protocols
- Ensure that VCA polices, guidelines, and recommendations are implemented by all members of the technical staff.
