About The Position
BluePearl Pet Hospital is looking for a passionate Veterinary Technician Supervisor to help lead our Internal Medicine department in Cary, NC! Pay: $23.00 - $40.00 / hour This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience and advancement through our competency leveling system. We have an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to be a leader in a dynamic team of veterinary professionals. The ideal candidate will be excellent at training and mentoring. They will have advanced veterinary skills. We have a dynamic work environment, exciting medical cases, and great career development opportunities. Nice To Haves
- 2+ years of veterinary technician experience
- 2+ years of leadership experience
- RVT or VTS preferred, but not mandatory
Responsibilities
- Serve as a mentor to lower-level staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills and business knowledge.
- Coach team members to be continuously aware and proactive at anticipating and addressing patient and client needs and to seek assistance with escalated, stressful situations.
- Works with hospital leadership to organize tech and assistant meetings.
- Organize training schedules for Technician staff.
- Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution.
- Provide feedback leadership and works to develop performance improvement plans.
- Other related duties as assigned.
