About The Position

The Dogs and Cats Emergency & Specialty in Bowie, MD is hiring a full-time Internal Medicine Veterinary Technician to join their outstanding team. Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in emergency and critical care setting
  • Demonstrated excellence in nursing care and critical thinking skills
  • Availability for nights, weekends, holidays, and limited on-call duties
  • Strong desire to learn and grow in the role
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment
  • Proficient in calculating doses and administering intravenous drugs and fluids
  • Skilled in obtaining and analyzing laboratory samples (blood, urine, and stool)
  • Experience in catheter placement
  • Capable of monitoring patients under anesthesia
  • Strong time management, initiative, and task prioritization skills

Nice To Haves

  • Registered Veterinary Technicians are strongly encouraged to apply
  • Ventilator experience is a plus
