About The Position

Friendship Hospital for Animals, a leading AAHA-accredited hospital located in Washington D.C., is seeking a kind and compassionate veterinary technician to join our primary care team. As a primary care veterinary technician, you will provide high-level patient and client care while assisting primary care veterinarians in the exam room, on the treatment floor, and in general surgery. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, excels at communicating with both clients and peers, and has a solid foundation of technical skills. Ideally, this person is skilled at all types of venipuncture and comfortable with anesthesia on both feline and canine patients. We are looking for a good cultural fit, so someone that enjoys being a productive team player and wants to keep learning is ideal.

Requirements

• Credentialed veterinary technician preferred (LVT, RVT, CVT)
• 1-2 years experience working as a veterinary technician strongly preferred
• Embrace a nurturing, cooperative, and ethical environment

• Keep learning
