About The Position

VCA Animal Referral and Emergency Center of Arizona is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician in our Oncology Department to work at our well-established, AAHA-accredited, 18-doctor practice in Mesa, Arizona. We are looking for qualified, experienced Technicians to share in a growing, exciting, fast-paced environment in our surgical dept. The candidate MUST be able to work weekends. Previous emergency experience HIGHLY preferred. Previous veterinary technician experience is a MUST. Most importantly, must be client-oriented and have high customer service skills. We are a 24-hour emergency/specialty practice looking for Technicians with positive personalities, whose attributes reflect attention-to-detail, self-motivation, compassion, and reliability.

Requirements

• Must have documented previous experience
• Hold a current CVT license (preferred)
• Flexibility in hours, including but not limited to evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Customer service skills
• Working knowledge of computers
• Excellent communication skills
• Capable of being cross-trained as a receptionist and kennel assistant
• Team player willing to learn new techniques and treatments
• Previous veterinary technician experience is a MUST
• Client-oriented and have high customer service skills

• Previous emergency experience HIGHLY preferred
