About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is opening a brand-new, state-of-the-art specialty and emergency hospital in South Austin, TX, and we're looking for an experienced Veterinary Technician Manager to lead, inspire, and develop our growing team. Located at 2555 Western Trails Blvd., Austin, TX 78745, our new hospital will provide advanced specialty and emergency care in a collaborative environment where exceptional medicine starts with exceptional leadership. As our Veterinary Technician Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the culture, clinical excellence, and future success of our newest BluePearl hospital. Our new hospital will feature: Dedicated Emergency and ICU departments, Three fully equipped surgical suites, In-house CT, Internal Medicine procedure room, Specialty services including Emergency, Critical Care, Internal Medicine, Surgery, and Cardiology, A collaborative team committed to mentorship, professional growth, and outstanding patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Veterinary Technicians and Assistants.
  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Partner with hospital leadership to ensure exceptional patient care and operational excellence.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for technicians while maintaining advanced technical skills.
  • Coach team members through performance development, training, and ongoing feedback.
  • Help onboard and develop new associates while promoting continued learning.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows and implement process improvements.
  • Communicate changes in protocols, policies, and best practices to the team.
  • Build strong relationships across departments to support a collaborative hospital environment.
  • Assist with performance evaluations, documentation, and employee development initiatives.
