About The Position

Join Animal Specialty Center (ASC) as a full-time Veterinary Technician in Yonkers, NY. Our Licensed Veterinary Technicians work alongside board-certified specialists and experienced emergency veterinarians while providing advanced patient care in a leading specialty and animal hospital. We are hiring LVTs, RVTs, and CVTs for our Surgery, Internal Medicine, and Emergency departments. Requirements

  • Active CVT, LVT, or RVT credential (or eligibility for licensure) in New York State
  • Previous experience as a Veterinary Technician in specialty, emergency, or general practice preferred
  • Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures
  • Ability to prioritize and thrive in a fast-paced veterinary environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Positive attitude with a commitment to patient care and professional growth
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional nursing care to hospitalized and critical patients
  • Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and diagnostic procedures
  • Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory diagnostics, and sample collection
  • Obtain diagnostic imaging including radiographs
  • Monitor and document patient status, treatments, and responses
  • Assist veterinarians with examinations, treatments, and advanced procedures
  • Communicate effectively with clients and hospital team members
  • Maintain accurate medical records
  • Support high-quality patient care in a fast-paced specialty and emergency environment
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure seamless patient care
