Requirements
- Skilled in advanced technical nursing (IV catheters, anesthetic induction/intubation, diagnostics) with a strong, detail-oriented work ethic.
- Ability to work seamlessly both independently and as part of a highly collaborative specialty team.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for regular, compassionate client communication.
- A desire to learn, work hard, and push the boundaries of your veterinary technician skillset.
Responsibilities
- Support Advanced Procedures: Assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures (including GI, nasal, and airway scopes) as well as advanced radiology tasks.
- Provide High-Level Nursing: Perform intravenous catheter placements, assist with endotracheal intubations and anesthetic inductions, and manage the precise setup, cleaning, and maintenance of specialized scope equipment.
- Lead Client Communication: Act as the vital link between our Internists and pet owners—providing updates on patient histories, lab results, and treatment plans.
- Deliver Critical Patient Education: Manage patient discharges and teach clients essential at-home care, including subcutaneous fluid administration, insulin injections, and feeding tube management.
