Requirements

  • Licensed Veterinary Technician or Experienced Veterinary Technician dedicated to outstanding client service and excellent patient care.
  • Dedicated to maintaining a positive, respectful, uplifting hospital culture and genuinely love working with people that share that same value.
  • Take the initiative – a hard worker who contributes to the operation of the entire hospital, will help get all the day’s duties done!
  • Versatile – knows how to effectively adapt to the individual needs of each patient and is dedicated to making a difference in the lives of patients and their families.
  • Possess clinical skills and experience that include (but are not limited to): Safe patient restraint, Excellent client service, Phlebotomy and catheter placement, Knowledge of radiology safety and proper technique, Proficient in post-op monitoring and care of surgical patients, Solid foundation of knowledge of common veterinary medications, Individualized, patient-focused nursing.
  • Fluent English speaking and reading skills required; multilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

  • Provides exceptional nursing care and technical support to surgical and hospitalized patients.
  • Works closely with surgeons and the specialty team to ensure patients receive attentive monitoring, pain management, and compassionate care throughout recovery and hospitalization.
  • Assists veterinarians in a wide range of duties, including: IV catheter placement, blood drawing, and IV fluid maintenance.
  • Surgical recovery, post-op pain management, and patient monitoring.
  • Radiographs, surgical prep, and induction assistance.
  • Daily upkeep of the patient care ward and accurate patient documentation.
  • Compassionate client communication and patient-focused care.
