Join the dedicated team at Fetch as a Veterinary Technician in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Fetch Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Centers is family-owned veterinary hospital and we are seeking experienced Veterinary Technicians to join our ICU team in Brandon, Florida. We are passionate about delivering high-quality and compassionate care to pets during their most critical moments. As a Veterinary Technician in this fast-paced environment, you will work closely with a talented team of boarded specialists, ER doctors and ICU team to provide exceptional care to pets in need.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Previous experience in ICU is required.
Strong knowledge of veterinary medical protocols and procedures

Nice To Haves

Certification as a Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT), preferred

Responsibilities

Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition in an emergency and critical care setting
Assist veterinarians with emergency procedures, including triage, wound care, and life-saving interventions
Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed by the veterinary team
Prepare and maintain equipment and supplies required for emergency procedures
Collect and process laboratory samples, including blood work and urinalysis
Maintain accurate medical records and documentation of patient care
Communicate effectively with pet owners about their pets' conditions, treatments, and progress
Support the team by keeping the workspace organized and well-stocked
Work collaboratively with veterinarians, technicians, and support staff in a high-energy environment
