About The Position
Eastern Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Center is seeking a Daytime Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT/LVT/RVT) to join their expanding Emergency Department. This role is for an individual who thrives in a fast-paced, highly skilled environment and enjoys the challenge of emergency medicine. Requirements
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician (CVT, LVT, or RVT)
- Strong technical nursing skills and critical thinking abilities
- Ability to remain calm and organized in high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Commitment to patient advocacy and exceptional client service
- Passion for continuous learning and professional development
Nice To Haves
- Previous emergency and/or specialty experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Triage and assess emergency patients upon presentation
- Obtain patient histories and perform nursing assessments
- Place and maintain intravenous catheters
- Collect and process laboratory samples
- Administer medications, fluids, blood products, and treatments as directed
- Monitor hospitalized and critical care patients
- Assist with emergency procedures and stabilization efforts
- Perform anesthesia monitoring and recovery when needed
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Provide compassionate communication and support to clients during stressful situations
- Collaborate with emergency and specialty teams to deliver exceptional patient care
