About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring an exceptional Veterinary Technician to join their Critical Care team. This is a full-time position that requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays. The role involves patient care in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment. As an ICU/Critical Care Technician, you will triage and obtain patient history, identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR, place IVC's and advanced catheters, monitor and care for ventilator cases, and work alongside other skilled technicians and assistants. A passion for mentoring and training co-workers is also a key aspect of this role, along with the gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health.

Requirements

Exceptional Veterinary Technician skills
Ability to work nights and weekends and holidays
Ability to work in a fast-paced, challenging, interesting, and collaborative environment
Ability to mentor and train other co-workers
Unrestricted, current authorization to work in the U.S. and not require future sponsorship for an employment-based green card.

Responsibilities

Triage and obtain patient history

Place IVC's and advanced catheters like Jugular catheters, Central Lines or PICC lines.
Monitor and care for Ventilator Cases
Work along side other skilled technicians and assistants in providing excellent, advanced medicine to your patients
Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers.
Feel gratification of nursing critically ill patients back to health and reunite them with their pet parents
