About The Position

Nashville Veterinary Specialists in Nashville, TN is looking to add a Cardiology Licensed Veterinary Technician to our Cardiology Team! This role serves as the primary technician to the Cardiologist(s), assisting them in their daily duties and carrying out their treatment/diagnostic plans. Requirements

  • Must have LVMT CVT, LVT, or RVT licensure and at least 1+ years of veterinary hospital experience
  • Have a reasonably in-depth understanding of veterinary medicine and basic disease processes
  • Have broad technical abilities (Phlebotomy, catheterization, patient restraint, radiographs, in-house lab, pharmacology, medication/fluid/oxygen administration, fluoroscopy, etc.)
  • Fluent English skills (speaking & reading) are required for the role

  • fluency in multiple languages a plus

Responsibilities

  • Document patient histories, treatments, and diagnostics in EzyVet, and become proficient in EzyVet and SmartFlow within 30 days.
  • Handle department voicemail, client callbacks, and ensure accurate documentation.
  • Support exams, treatments, diagnostics, and surgeries (including echocardiography, cardiology studies, and assisting in invasive procedures).
  • Prepare for the perioperative period and collaborate with the team to implement patient care plans.
  • Review estimates with clients, educate on procedures, fill patient medications, maintain clean exam rooms, and restock surgical suites for procedures.
