About The Position

Warwick Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician/Assistant to provide skilled care to patients and exceptional service to clients. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, along with a passion for improving the lives of pets and their owners. The position is scheduled four days per week. The stated schedule is Monday–Friday, 7:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and Saturday, 7:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m. Compensation is $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Warwick Animal Hospital is a full-service hospital for dogs and cats serving the Oklahoma City area. It provides preventive, surgical, and medical care, with an emphasis on compassionate treatment and client education.

Requirements

Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
