About The Position

Leander Veterinary Clinic is hiring a dependable, motivated, and compassionate Veterinary Technician Assistant for its independently owned, five-doctor small animal practice in Leander, Texas. The clinic has an 8,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art facility and provides services ranging from routine wellness and preventative care to outpatient surgeries and dental procedures.

The role involves working with animals in a busy, fast-paced clinic and assisting veterinary technicians and doctors. The clinic emphasizes individualized care for clients and pets, a supportive and hardworking team, and a positive workplace. This is a full-time position paying $19–$21 per hour, based on experience. The schedule is Monday through Friday, with availability required between 7:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., plus alternating Saturdays from 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Requirements

• At least 6 months of experience assisting in a veterinary clinic.
• Experience handling and restraining animals and assisting veterinary technicians and doctors.
• Ability to multitask, stay organized, and take initiative.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Dependability and punctuality.
• Genuine passion for providing excellent patient care.
• Availability Monday through Friday between 7:15 a.m. and 6:30 p.m., and for alternating Saturdays from 7:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
