About The Position
Burke Animal Clinic is seeking multiple Veterinary Assistants to join their growing team. They are a busy, fast-paced general practice offering comprehensive veterinary care, including diagnostics, dentistry, wellness, and surgery. The clinic emphasizes a fun, supportive, team-centered atmosphere with flexible scheduling and opportunities for growth. Requirements
- Experienced Veterinary Assistant confident in performing SQ injections, blood draws and radiographs.
- Able to work Sunday - Tuesday + Thursday
- Reliable, honest, communicative, and ready to pitch in wherever needed
- A team player who takes initiative and works well in a playful, supportive environment
- Willing to grow with the team and be a part of a community that values light-heartedness and professionalism alike
Responsibilities
- Provide hands-on support for veterinary care including: Restraint, preparing vaccines, filling medications, assisting in exams and with x-rays
- Drawing blood, processing in-house labs, surgical prep, and nail trims
- Assisting with client communication and entering charges accurately
- Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, safety, and patient care throughout the facility
- Mentor less-experienced team members when needed
- Participate in team meetings, CE opportunities, and collaborative learning
- Contribute to a positive work culture through dependability, flexibility, and humor
