Veterinary Assistant/ Technician
About The Position
Warwick Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician/ Assistant to provide skilled patient care and exceptional client service. The ideal candidate has experience in animal care, client communication, and veterinary procedures, and is passionate about improving the lives of pets and their owners. The schedule is four days per week, Monday through Friday between 7 AM and 6 PM, and Saturday from 7 AM to 12 PM. Pay is $16.00–$20.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Warwick Animal Hospital is a full-service veterinary hospital for dogs and cats serving the Oklahoma City area. The hospital provides preventive, surgical, and medical services and emphasizes compassionate care, client education, and inclusion.
Requirements
- Ability to handle animals safely and compassionately.
- Knowledge of common disease states and ability to alert veterinarians to changes in patient conditions.
- Familiarity with DEA, OSHA, and hospital safety guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Support veterinarians with patient care, examinations, surgery, anesthesia, and recovery.
- Safely and compassionately handle and restrain animals.
- Communicate clearly with clients, including providing care instructions and status updates.
- Perform technical duties such as laboratory work, radiographs, injections, and IV catheter placement.
- Maintain accurate medical records and assist with medication dispensing.
- Keep exam rooms, treatment areas, and equipment clean, stocked, and ready.
- Follow hospital, safety, and regulatory guidelines.
