Requirements

  • Experience in a specialty or advanced general practice
  • Strong clinical skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, particularly in observing subtle changes in ocular health and documenting findings
  • Effective communication skills for conveying important information to the veterinary team and ensuring smooth workflow
  • A team-oriented attitude, thriving in collaborative settings alongside veterinarians, fellow technicians, and support staff
  • A passion for continuous learning, seizing every opportunity to further develop your ophthalmic knowledge

Nice To Haves

  • prior ophthalmology exposure is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Supporting and assisting specialty departments with daily patient care
  • Providing patient care responsibilities including husbandry, laundry, walking dogs, and cleaning cages
  • Restraining and handling canine and feline patients safely and confidently
  • Communicating clearly and professionally with clients and team members (both verbal and written)
  • Stocking supplies and maintaining cleanliness in treatment and diagnostic areas
  • Help ensure overall hospital cleanliness and organization
