About The Position

Trupanion is seeking a driven, reliable, and extremely organized, pet-passionate individual to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with veterinary practices in the Downtown Seattle area. This role involves visiting veterinary practices to educate hospital staff on the advantages of insured clients and how to integrate this into their workflow. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet tech or practice manager. The ideal candidate is comfortable with a part-time commitment of 15-20 hours per week, possesses a high level of activity to support growth, and is open to advancement. This position offers an hourly salary with bonus potential and is contingent upon obtaining a Property and Casualty license.

Requirements

  • Passion for helping eliminate economic euthanasia in dogs & cats.
  • Personality to build relationships with partnering veterinarian practices throughout the market/territory.
  • Pet passionate and possess a strong belief in the mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to provide the best care for their pet when it becomes sick or injured.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience.
  • Outstanding communication and listening skills.
  • Professional appearance.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word).
  • Must acquire and maintain a P&C Insurance License in order to be employed.
  • Must live within the Seattle area, ideally within the Downtown Area.
  • Comfortable commuting to the Downtown region throughout the week.
  • Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Sales & Marketing background a plus.
  • Driver’s license record and reliable car preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with veterinary practices in the Downtown Seattle area.

  • Present to hospital owners and staff with confidence.
  • Establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.

  • Perform administrative work from a home office.
