Veterinary Sales Associate - Anchorage, AK
About The Position
Trupanion is seeking a driven, reliable, extremely organized, and pet-passionate individual with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital environment to build, maintain, and strengthen relationships with veterinary practices in the Anchorage area. This role involves visiting veterinary practices, educating hospital staff on the advantages of insured clients, and integrating this into their workflow. It's an excellent opportunity for an experienced vet tech or veterinary customer service representative looking for a groundbreaking role in the industry. The position requires a full-time, 40-hour per week commitment with a high level of activity to ensure territory success. Compensation includes an hourly salary with monthly or quarterly bonus opportunities. Employment is contingent on obtaining a Property and Casualty license in Alaska, which involves a state background check.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a veterinary hospital environment.
- Thorough understanding of the Veterinary Industry.
- Outgoing and sales-driven personality.
- Ability to present to hospital owners and staff with confidence.
- Pet passionate with a strong belief in the mission to give responsible pet owners the ability to provide the best care for their pet.
- Able to establish and maintain good relations with customers by providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Innate entrepreneurial drive, embodying an attitude of persistence and patience.
- Outstanding communication and listening skills.
- Professional appearance.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office products (primarily Outlook, Excel, and Word).
- Must possess a valid and clean driver’s license record.
- Must possess a reliable car.
- Must live within the Anchorage area.
- Must acquire and maintain a P&C Insurance License in order to be employed.
- Applicants must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Responsibilities
- Visit veterinary practices to build relationships.

- Physically visit animal hospitals in the territory.
