About The Position

Sanford Animal Hospital is hiring a Veterinary Receptionist to join our front desk team. We are a busy, team-focused small animal practice dedicated to providing compassionate care to our patients and exceptional service to the people who love them. We are committed to creating a positive and supportive workplace where teamwork, communication, and respect matter. As one of the first people our clients interact with, you will play an essential role in creating a welcoming experience while helping keep our hospital organized and running smoothly. We are looking for a people person who can keep multiple plates spinning, communicate with compassion, and stay organized when the phones are ringing.

Requirements

  • Previous veterinary or medical office experience preferred
  • Strong customer service skills

Responsibilities

  • Greeting clients and patients with a warm, professional attitude
  • Answering phones and managing multiple lines efficiently
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Helping coordinate the hospital’s daily workflow
  • Checking clients and patients in and out
  • Processing payments accurately
  • Maintaining accurate client and patient records
  • Communicating with clients regarding hospital services
  • Discussing estimates and coordinating follow-up communication
  • Relaying messages between clients and the medical team
  • Helping coordinate patient care and client communication
  • Supporting veterinarians, technicians, and other team members with front desk communication
  • Maintaining a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area
  • Helping keep daily hospital operations moving efficiently
