Veterinary Receptionist
About The Position
Veterinary Receptionist opportunity in Jacksonville Beach, FL. Full-Time | 3x12-hour shifts | Days, Evenings, or Overnights Available. $18–$20/hour based on experience + shift differentials. Looking for a Veterinary Receptionist role where you can use your veterinary hospital experience in a fast-paced emergency and specialty environment? Join First Coast Veterinary Specialists & Emergency and work alongside a skilled, supportive team providing advanced emergency and surgical care to pets throughout Northeast Florida. Veterinary hospital experience is required. Emergency or specialty veterinary experience is strongly preferred.
Requirements
- Previous veterinary receptionist, veterinary customer service representative, or veterinary front desk experience required
- Emergency veterinary or specialty veterinary experience preferred
- Strong customer service and client communication skills
- Comfortable working around sick or injured animals
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced veterinary hospital
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Computer and phone system proficiency required
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills required
- Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply
Nice To Haves
- Emergency veterinary or specialty veterinary experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Greet veterinary clients and patients with professionalism and compassion
- Answer and manage a multi-line phone system
- Schedule appointments and route calls appropriately
- Admit emergency and specialty patients
- Process payments and client checkouts
- Maintain accurate medical records and client information
- Support communication between clients, technicians, and veterinarians
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area
- Assist with additional administrative duties as needed
