About The Position

Companion Pet Hospital is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. This role involves maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions, triaging client concerns, and handling calls or emails. The receptionist will also be responsible for scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency, checking clients in and out, and processing payments. A key aspect of this role is providing friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner to clients during times of need, and being comfortable with various medical outcomes. The position requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises, and may involve exposure to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Requirements

Minimum of 1-year experience preferred as a Veterinary Assistant
Compassionate

Must be able to properly restrain pets
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset

Proficient in sample collection
Proficient in obtaining medical histories
