About The Position

At Sprayberry Animal Hospital, we believe every exceptional patient experience begins at the front desk. Our Client Service Representatives are the first friendly face our clients see and the reassuring voice they hear when they need guidance for their pets. Whether welcoming a new puppy, supporting a family through an emergency, or celebrating a patient's recovery, our reception team plays an essential role in creating an outstanding client experience. We're looking for a compassionate, organized, and service-focused Veterinary Receptionist / Client Service Representative who enjoys building relationships, thrives in a fast-paced medical environment, and wants to make a meaningful difference in the lives of pets and the people who love them. If you have experience in veterinary medicine, human healthcare, dental, specialty medical practices, or another client-focused healthcare environment, we'd love to meet you.

Nice To Haves

  • 1–2 years of veterinary receptionist or client service experience preferred
  • Experience in human healthcare, dental, specialty medical, optometry, or other healthcare reception settings is highly valued
  • Experience working with appointment scheduling and electronic medical records
  • Previous experience with veterinary practice management software is a plus
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

  • Deliver an Exceptional Client Experience: Welcome clients and patients with professionalism, warmth, and compassion. Schedule appointments and manage daily hospital scheduling. Answer phones and respond to client questions with empathy and accuracy. Coordinate patient check-in and check-out. Support clients through routine visits, illness, surgery, and unexpected emergencies. Help create a positive, stress-free experience for both pets and their families.
  • Client Communication & Education: Become a trusted resource for clients by helping them understand preventative care recommendations, wellness visits and vaccinations, medication refill requests, surgery and appointment preparation, hospital policies and treatment estimates, post-visit instructions and follow-up care.
  • Hospital Operations: Maintain accurate client and patient medical records. Process invoices and client payments. Prepare treatment estimates and explain financial options. Coordinate communication between doctors, technicians, and clients. Support efficient patient flow throughout the hospital. Assist with administrative projects as needed.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with veterinarians, veterinary technicians, assistants, and leadership team to help ensure every patient receives exceptional care while maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment.
