About The Position

Riverside Veterinary Clinic is seeking a Veterinary Receptionist to join their team. The clinic offers comprehensive and personalized care to dogs, cats, and small mammals, emphasizing strong client relationships, progressive medicine, and a collaborative team culture. The clinic is equipped with modern diagnostic equipment, in-house lab capabilities, digital radiography, and a dedicated surgical suite, with an emphasis on work-life balance. The hours of operation are Monday & Friday: 7:30am - 10:00pm, Tuesday - Thursday: 7:30am - 6:00pm, and Saturday: 7:30am - 1:30pm. Sundays are closed.

Requirements

Minimum of 1-year veterinary experience preferred.
Compassionate, Calm, Team Player, Multi-Tasker and Strong Communicator.
Highly organized and possess computer skills.
Self-starter with the desire to continue to advance your knowledge and skillset.

Responsibilities

Maintain the visual appeal of the hospital reception area.
Greet and welcome clients and patients.
Answer questions and triage client concerns.
Answer calls or emails and direct to the appropriate party for resolution.
Schedule appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow.
Check in and check out clients and process payments.
Offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to clients.
Must be comfortable with various medical outcomes.
Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste and potentially contagious diseases.
