At McDonough Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to the well-being of animals and the community we serve. We pledge to serve our clients and advocate for their beloved pets with compassion and respect, while upholding the highest standards of integrity. Through education and transparent communication, we empower pet owners to make informed decisions about their pets' health and well-being in an empathetic manner. Together, we strive to create a community where every animal receives the care and compassion they deserve. The job duties include maintaining the visual appeal of the hospital reception area, greeting and welcoming clients and patients, answering questions and triaging client concerns, answering calls or emails and directing them to the appropriate party for resolution, scheduling appointments to maximize efficiency and daily flow, and checking in and out clients and processing payments. Our receptionists offer friendly emotional support in a compassionate and discreet manner during times of need to our clients and must be comfortable with various medical outcomes. The role requires the ability to withstand unpleasant odors and noises. The employee may be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious diseases. Whether you’re looking to just be a master of your role or trying to grow into that next career move, you’ll have opportunities through a variety of virtual and hands-on, interactive training and continuing development.
